Dear HNATT Members,
Welcome to the sixth month of the year – yes, we’re halfway through 2025!
But ask yourself: Are we halfway there when it comes to improving our nutrition, fitness, mental space, and overall well-being?
At the Health and Nutrition Association of Trinidad and Tobago (HNATT), June is more than just a checkpoint. It’s a reminder. A reminder that our health journey is ongoing, and this month brings powerful opportunities to recommit to a healthier lifestyle.

Men’s Mental Health Matters
June is recognised globally as Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month.
In our communities, men often feel pressure to “tough it out” and stay silent about their struggles. But mental health is health. Period.
This month, we’ll be sharing insightful articles and interviews that encourage men—and all of us—to talk more, support each other, and prioritise emotional well-being.

Celebrating Fathers with Fresh Starts
In honour of Father’s Day, we’re hosting our Father’s Fresh Health Fair on June 14.
It’s our special tribute to the dads, grandfathers, uncles, and male mentors who shape our lives—and who deserve to thrive in good health.

The Diabetes Handbook Launch!
We’re proud to announce the official release of “The Diabetes Handbook: A Trinidad and Tobago Guide” – the first in our HNATT Book Series!
This essential resource is designed for patients, caregivers, and health practitioners alike, offering culturally relevant, evidence-based advice on managing and preventing diabetes in Trinidad and Tobago.

Tunapuna Community Health Fair – June 28
We wrap up the month strong with our Tunapuna Community Health Fair on June 28 – another opportunity to connect with the public, raise awareness about Non-Communicable diseases (NCDs), and promote holistic health.
